While some might contend that adult-oriented content, such as Club Ruby, has no place in virtual worlds, others see it as a logical extension of freedom and human expression.
It’s important to keep in mind that, like their physical counterparts, online strip clubs may not be acceptable for all audiences and may have varied degrees of appropriateness.
Some news publications have been published in the Sun and other newspapers about how dangerous the consequences of minors getting engaged in activities like these might be.
For example, another report done by the BBC instigates that exposing minors to content like this could damage their experience and interactions with their mates in real time and could contain substances that kids may be exposed to if they are not properly screened or supervised.
Brit (a writer for MEL magazine) decided to explore this metaverse and wrote in her article that;
“It’s 11 a.m. on a weekday, and I’m at Club Ruby, a virtual reality strip club located in a shadowy corner of the metaverse. Like a real dive, it’s dark inside save for the fluorescent red lighting, which illuminates the matching polyester sofas and cascades across the crimson curtains that garnish each private room.

Those are obviously not places where kids should be and she also states that although Club Ruby placed a restriction and gave access to individuals over 16 years of age, she still feels it is like any other strip club.

Overall, the concept of strip clubs in the metaverse raises questions about the role of adult content within virtual worlds and the challenges of regulating such content.
As the metaverse continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how these issues are addressed by developers and the broader community.
