Senior DevOps Engineer (Full-time, Anywhere)
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for new and existing projects, including development and production environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining real-time data pipelines and reactive-based systems, selecting appropriate AWS services, and managing associated costs.
You should have a strong background in scripting and adhere to the best software engineering practices. You must also possess the ability to recognize production issues and create integrations that meet specific business needs.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery and deployment of software products. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Candidate Profile:
- Background in Computer Science or any related field such as Mathematics & Physics
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Experience with, and advanced knowledge of, Docker
- Advanced knowledge of Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of IaaS configuration tools such as Terraform
- Ability to configure and deploy software on Linux environments
- Ability to setup scalable and real-time data pipelines for AI-based applications
- Absolute reliability and ability to work independently
- Fluent English communication, both written and spoken
- Problem-solving attitude, great eye for detail and collaborative team spirit
Nice-to-Haves:
- Fluency in different programming languages, including Bash, Python, and Javascript
- Hands-on experience with blockchain infrastructure, from node setup to data consumption from different providers (e.g. Infura, Alchemy, etc)
- AWS Professional Certifications
- Partial availability (2-6h) during EST work hours to allow for communication with the team
Responsibilities:
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes
- Willing to learn about blockchain and keep up with the field as required
