This is a fully remote role open to candidates in the European timezone. Although our HQ is in Lausanne, we welcome applicants from all over Europe!
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and deploy algorithms to solve business problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Use large and complex data sets to derive impactful business insights.
- Measure accurately the impact of various initiatives.
- Utilize data to inform business decisions and prioritize development based on business impact.
- Provide data-based solutions and automation to optimize operations and user experience.
- Enhance business initiatives by identifying weaknesses, opportunities, and challenging uninformed decisions.
- Contribute to SwissBorg’s growth through recruitment efforts: interviewing, onboarding, etc.
- Transform data analysis into intuitive and easily communicable business cases.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a data scientist or in an equivalent/relevant role.
- Hands-on experience solving real problems using statistical methods, machine learning, and mathematical computing.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for managing and processing large volumes of data.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, time series analysis, and modeling.
- Willingness to continuously improve and challenge existing knowledge.
- Excellent visualization skills and ability to present results clearly and concisely.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to persuade stakeholders to adjust plans.
- Proactive and independent investigation of answers to business problems.
- Team player open to supporting/mentoring colleagues for team success.
