We’re in search of an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to join us in expanding and fortifying our engineering team. Your primary focus will be on nurturing our people and engineering processes to ensure the continual delivery of top-tier Web3 applications.

About the Role:

You’ll play a pivotal role in the growth and organization of our engineering team, establishing efficient processes and fostering a supportive environment for all. Our aim is to prioritize the personal growth and success of each individual, driving Zerion’s team towards its full potential. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the company’s culture in a pre-growth stage startup setting. You’ll lead a diverse team of cross-functional Engineers and collaborate closely with Leadership & Product Management to define meaningful metrics, processes, and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a distributed team of cross-functional Engineers.
• Establish best practices to ensure product quality and consistent delivery of working systems on time.
• Design, implement, and document product development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Leadership & Product Management on roadmapping, technical planning, and prioritization.
• Align your team or multiple teams with organizational strategy and principles, working towards shared objectives.
• Foster the growth of engineers’ skills, experience, and confidence through coaching, feedback, peer alignment, and career advocacy.
• Manage, support, and evaluate engineers’ performance.
• Nurture and reinforce Zerion’s culture of growth, openness, trust, and mutual support.
• Recruit new talent for the team.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing and scaling an engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical proficiency to discuss issues, approaches, and solutions in depth.
• Experience aligning a team on shared goals and planning releases.
• Desire to manage a fully-remote geographically distributed team.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of Engineering Management experience.

• Experience at a growth-stage startup with 50+ employees.
• Proven track record of coaching and mentoring team members remotely.
