Job Summary:
As a Financial Analyst at Polygon, you will collaborate closely with the accounting and finance leadership team to create the medium to long-term financial and strategic plan for the business.
About the Team:
The team is comprised of individuals from around the globe, united in the mission to establish the gold standard in Web3 Accounting & Finance. Most team members are passionate about Web3 and the future of technology.
A Day in the Life:
Expect each day to be unique. The Web3 arena is in constant flux, and the Finance Team at Polygon must keep pace. Most days will be fast-paced and dynamic.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Unit heads to develop their annual budgets and forecasts.
- Create models to forecast long-term growth and assess the factors influencing business performance.
- Provide competitor analysis, market trends, and relevant commentary to the Leadership team.
- Analyze financial and operational outcomes to gain deeper insights into company performance.
- Communicate the underlying reasons for product/department performance and results to senior management.
- Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on cost center outcomes.
- Review operations and suggest new productivity enhancements or cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop business cases to support new investments, strategic decisions, and other business choices.
- Review existing processes and procedures, offering recommendations for improvement efforts.
- Evaluate previous budgets and expenditures to create and execute future budgets.
- Present results and recommendations to senior management to improve cost-efficiency, revenue generation, and operational streamlining.
- Provide insights to senior management related to financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability.
What you’ll need – Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant analytical experience.
- Strong quantitative abilities.
- Problem-solving skills for complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet proficiency.
- Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
- Holding a CFA or equivalent is preferred.
